When Monica Reyes-Torres set out to build bread, her event management platform, she had the vision but needed help translating it into something tangible. I came in first to understand what she was building and where the gaps were, so I could best support her. Today bread has moved from the concept stage to building real momentum, and Monica gets to share the load, with a strategic guide and thinking partner beside her as she grows into her role as a startup founder. What makes this work is Monica's willingness to collaborate, her openness to being challenged, and her trust in me and the process. I bring more than 25 years of leadership across nonprofit development, financial services, higher education, and entrepreneurial ventures. I think of myself as a translator, a midwife, and a builder. Architecture taught me to turn a vision into something tangible, and to sequence the work in the right order. Theology taught me to hold space for what someone can't yet put into words, to discern what matters most beneath the surface, and to attend to the person, not just the problem.
